How much do you know about marketing? I think it is a mystery to most people. However if you are trying to start your own home-based business, you will need to know more about marketing.

Marketing is the life blood of all businesses. Without marketing a business has no hope of surviving. The Internet is vast, so it is unlikely that someone web surfing will just happen upon your website. People come to your website because they know you are there and there is a possiblity you will have exactly what they are looking for.

These people don't just don't happen, you have to inform them. You have to educated them. They need to know they want your product or service. They may not have felt the need before, so you have to show them the need is there. You do this through marketing.
